Enter your cost and sale price to see profit, profit margin % and markup % — or set a target margin or markup to find the right selling price. A discount box works out sale prices and savings too.
Pick what you know, then fill the cost price and one more field. The rest is calculated for you.
Enter an original price and a discount % to see the final price and how much is saved.
Markup is your profit measured against the cost price, while margin is your profit measured against the sale price. Buy for ₹100 and sell for ₹150 and the markup is 50%, but the margin is about 33%. Mixing them up is one of the most common pricing mistakes — this tool shows both at once so you always price with confidence.
A shopkeeper setting a retail price from a wholesale cost, a freelancer pricing a service to hit a target margin, or a store working out a festival-sale discount. Change any number and the results move live, so you can test prices before you commit.
How do I set a price for a 30% margin?
Choose "I know the margin %", enter your cost and type 30. The calculator divides the cost by 0.70 to give the selling price that leaves a 30% margin.
How is the discount worked out?
The saving is the original price times the discount percentage, and the final price is what's left after subtracting it — for example 20% off ₹1500 saves ₹300, leaving ₹1200.
