How to remove the date

  1. Open the photo in the Watermark & Object Remover.
  2. Zoom to the corner and brush over the date digits.
  3. Click Erase — the digits are replaced with the surrounding colour.
  4. Download the corrected photo.

Why the orange date is there

Older film and early digital cameras burned a "date-back" stamp directly into the picture. Because it's part of the image (not metadata), you remove it by painting over it — which is exactly what this tool does.

Kept private

Family photos never leave your browser. There's no upload and nothing is stored.

Frequently asked questions

The date is over a busy background — will it still work?

Corners are usually sky, a wall or floor, which fill cleanly. If the date sits over detail, use small strokes and touch up for the best blend.

Can I also change the photo's file date?

That's separate metadata. This tool removes the visible printed date; to view or clear metadata use an EXIF tool.

Is it free?

Completely free, no sign-up, and fully private.
